Torque Management w/ Transgo
1. First and foremost, do I really need a shift kit (transgo) ?
2. Others have mentioned that the addition of a TC with a shift kit will aggreviate TM, is this true. Its been stated that the only way around this is to delete TM - Hmm, how long will my tranny live if I do this ?
3. Can TM be reduced instead of deleted, assuming I have a transgo installed. Is this really an option or should it just be outright deleted ?
4. Should I just leave the car alone, have the TC installed and leave well enough alone ?
I was planning on having everything installed and tuned all at once (once the 01 version of ls1edit is released), let me know how your 01/02 is working for you with your configs.
Thanks in advance.

2) It won't make the TM worse, but you may notice it more. Deleting torque management increases the wear on the clutches.
3)Yes, through programming
4)I'd put the transgo kit in and probably use the 2 washer setting.
XTCWS6 - let me know how your car runs after the relearn. Im curious to know if your still happy with your setup. Are you planning on having TM deleted or de-tuned ?
Couple more questions based on the posts though :
1. So TM is more obvious, not worse (thanks Ragtop), and it sounds like it's possible to reduce it with PCM programming. I'd like to know if the tuners out there are actually reducing TM or just deleting it.
2. IF TM is outright deleted and this does cause excessive wear on the clutches then from reading this write up I found http://www.txchange.com/transgo.htm ,it sounds like the addition of a Transgo would help reduce the friction on the internal materials within the Tranny. Does this sound correct or is this just marketing fluff ?
Maybe to bigger picture here is, what the hell does TM really do (other than promote longevity and softer more comfortable shifting) to our transmissions and why was TM increased on the later models ?
Thanks again....

It seems ther are very few programmers that know how to beat this on the 01's, Mike Morgan and Ed Wright are the only ones I know of.
