I am just looking for some ideas on where the problem lies. I noticed it last nite at the track, I ran 3 times and all three runs the car just really took its time goin 2-3, it almost seemed like it was hittin the rev limiter but just barely. I have just installed a new converter and deep pan. My new Yank is supposed to be a 3700 stall, and my old one was an ST3500. The new converter and some skinnies that I borrowed from a friend were the only changes made to the car. Could hotter weather played a role in this. By the way I have no Transgo, No HPP3, thanks in advance
Try doing some ATAP runs on the 2-3 and see what rpm your hitting. I've had that same feeling when I was just barely coming up on the limiter.
I had it happen when the fluid got hot after a couple passes. Do you have a trans cooler? If not get one. A shift kit would help also the hpp3 won't help at wide open throttle.Good luck. Rich
man you just need to lay off the taco bell, you gained like what 130# this spring? Just loose the fat and you'll be good to go
Torque Management isnt helping your shifts out either. Just adjusting the base spark retard limit to +10 in Edit made a hell of a difference in mine. Do an ATAP run and you'll be totally discouraged when you see negative timing at the shifts. Its quite sickening!!
Maybe your tranny is going out on ya. Read this link and it might help. <a href="https://ls1tech.com/ubb/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=002158" target="_blank">Tranny problems!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> </a>
