Default Vig3200 or SY3500

I am either considering getting the vig3200 or the SY3500. I am not sure which one would be the best in my situation. This is my daily driver so I can't have it too loose. I do a lot of my racing on the street. I don't go to the track but maybe 2 or 3 times a year. Please help me decide which one would be best with my 3.42's.

Thanks

For stoplight racing and racing from a roll on normal street tires, the SY 3500 is hard to beat.

If you do street racing on heated nittos/ET Streets at reduced tire pressure, the Vig 3200 will be faster.

Looseness will be pretty similar; Vig might be a hair tighter

on the street the best way to go is the SY3500, if traction is going to be an issue, if you plan on hooking up go with at least the VIG 3200 or the ST3500

I have run both of these converters in my TA. I would say that if you are looking for street performance the SY3500 would be my choice. It hits softer than the Vig3200. I ran the SY with 3.73's and with nittos the car hooked awsome on the street. It is a nice converter at the track if you only run nittos or street tires. I have only had the Vig3200 in my car for about 2 months but I can tell you it hits much harder than the SY. It is a pain to launch with nittos without spinning at the track. The vig does feel tighter for everyday driving than the SY.

hope this help.

I don't plan on running nitto's for everyday driving so I guess I am leaning towards the SY3500, but I am not positive yet. How many rpm's will I see during standard driving around town until it locks up? I do have one of the "quieter" exhausts but I know it will be lounder. A lot of my street racing is from a roll so I won't be heating the tires up.

What kind of ET's could I expect with one of these convertors?

I ran a 12.69 @106 with a 1.69 60 foot with an SY3500, air lid, catback, and BFG DRs on stock 3.23 gears. I turned about 2300rpm to come off a light normally keeping with traffic.

Now in addition I have a cam, tuning, and ORY plus a better flowing catback, and I haven’t run it at the track yet but my low end is lazier. I have to turn about 2500rpm to come off a light now.
