Flexplates and converters... please help
My application is a 95 Toyota Supra Turbo with a little over 800 crank hp...
I have the Th400 already (Built by DRC in Elk Grove Village, IL), but im in need of a converter
i have two options... running a hybrid converter that has the Toyota flexplate bolt circle that can be adapted to the TH400
OR
running a billet SFI flexplate with a pattern for a GM converter (11.5") and getting a GM style converter
are there any cons to running a billet aluminum flexplate on a street car (sees about 4-5k miles a year)?
What converters do you guys use for these power applications? How much do they cost? (I will be using a transbrake and car puts out about 700 crank ftlbs... i also need a 3400-3600 rpm stall)
Any help is greatly appreciated... thank you
