I wanna get high...
1)If I were to order a 4000 would I be able to stall all the way to 4000 (lock up)? I was told its all based on the weight of your car and mods. But is there a way to make sure you really get a stall that stalls all the way?
2) I was aslo told that a stock minor bolt-on ls1 should stick with a 3600 stall because my torque should peak aroud thereand if thats the case why can M6 guys dump the clutch @ 5k.
Any help would be appreciated I want to only have to buy a converter once and not have to upgrade later.

And don't confuse lockup with flash stall, two different things there.
all the stock graphs i've seen were closer to 3,200.
possibly a full bolt-on car could peak that high, but not likely.
I want it!!!And because HP = torque x rpm / 5252 it means the more torque you make higher in the rpm's the more bhp produced

Wilder cams will simply move the torque band up the rpms (as well as an increase in curve profile and PEAK) this is what gives you more bhp with cammed setups, the down side is you end up with less power in the lower rpms until you move further up the torque curve.

Make sure you note the scale for the torque (lb ft) which is on the left as the scale makes the graph look steep when infact it is actually quite flat.
At 1500rpm the LS1 is making ~330lb ft (LT1 only makes 325lb ft PEAK
).As you can see the LS1's PEAK torque occurs between 4000-4500rpm (there is a slight spike at 4100rpm, but I think that's all it is - a spike and as the curve should be fairly smooth) if you follow the line you can see the 'real' PEAK is just under 4500rpm which is an impressive 370lb ft
