Obviously the converter has changed, I think that is
the likeliest loss-point (either changing the use of
powerband, or just inefficiency). But you also have
the lesser 1st gear ratio and gear swap on top of
that, so if you had traction you would see a huge
drop in initial acceleration even if the converters
were equal.
