got a problem...

when im at the track, I goto launch, ive got it down in first and I floor it. And the second I hit it, its liek taking off in 2nd. But when I do the same thing at the street, its takes off in first.
Also, why does first shift at 5500 when ive got my shifts set at 6000???

 

you're probably spinning at the track, the stall and a little spin will cause your car to shift into second immediately, at least this happens to me, as well. i lose 2-3 mph because of bogging. also, i would bet that your car shifts closer to 6k than you think, simply because the factory tach is ssllooww. my tach showed my car shifting @ 5,400 and it was really 6,050, from 1-2. 2-3 showed ~5,700 when it's really 6,050...you see the pattern.

 

i am betting it is because you are bogging, but it might not be from spinning, i have bogged when i have dead hooked on et streets. it is almost like you want a little spin to keep the motor spun up.

 

i have a 4k stall, my motor spins up fast enough

 

i bet yours does with a 4000 but he only has a art carr 3500 which is close to what i have which i s a 3200 vig and min bogs a little.

 

it flashes close to 3800...guess i'll just keep it in D for now on...
