need some 4l60e help
i've done a good bit of researching on here trying to learn about my situation but have come up short. my problem is my 4l60e slips in overdrive. first, second, and third are fine, no probs. i can be cruising down the road at 70 or so in OD and it just starts to slip. i can let off the throttle and manually pull it in third then quickly shift it back to OD and its fine for a while. i would say on average it will slip 1 time per 15 miles or so. my car has all the bolt-ons and the tranny has a trans go shift kit. like i said 1, 2, and 3 are perfect, no slipping anywhere. so my question: does OD have its very own selonoid, could that be my problem. any input or advice would be very much appreciated as i am trying to have this fixed before the weekend. thanks

What problems does it show do the RPM go up or down, or does it feel like it went in neutral, you have a lock up solenoid and also a 2-4 servo assembly sounds like a o ring or the servo may be bad, I have access to GM technical site I may be able to look up more info for you just shoot me a pm. If you have a GM dealer close by have them print you out Document ID # 191292 on how to repair the 2-4 servo

the rpm's just go up when it slips. like the car cruises 70 at 2200 and suddenly it will shoot to 2500 or so, more if you want it to. when it slips, the car just quits pulling, there is no power being transfered through the transmission. when OD is not slipping, it pulls just fine, but when it decides to slip, you know it. thanks for the help

yes sounds like your torque conveter clutch is kicking out, while drive down the highway tap the brake. it should do the same thing your talking about. if it does then you need to address your tcc issue. pull codes?
