Can Someone Tell Me Why I Have All Forward Gears And No Reverse On A 4l60 E In My Z71

Did this just happen all the sudden or have you just put a shift kit in? Does it go forward in reverse?

Ok just read your other two posts. You need a trans due to the fact that you have an inturnal problem and I'm sure it's not pretty. You have one way clutch that has rolled over or a clutch pack that has welded itself together. Please keep us in mind.

hey

You more than likely have a broken sun shell, we see this more times than not.. you'll also lose 2nd and 4th with a broken shell...... sometimes because of the break you'll still have your forward gears, yet loose your reverse. You see the shell is moving in reverse.(this movement allows the sun gear to pull away from the broken shell), but is being held by the 2-4 band in second and fourth. You could also have a burned rev. input or low rev. clutch.... Hope this helps...... Dave
