Angry So f*cked...

I've striped the damn head off one of my TC/flywheel bolts. I'm doing this in my driveway (no air tools, no lift). I've tried useing a dremel, but only had limited sucsess (and am now out of cutting wheels for it).

Any ideas on how I can get this damn thing out?

I really dont think that would work, just becuase of the amount of torque that needs to be used to get this damn thing free.

I can't remember how much room there is to get in there, but I know it's not much. I would use a sharp punch and a hammer if possible. I remove alot of allen bolts with the heads stripped out this way at work (tool and die maker). All you have to do is get the punch to dig in and give it a good smack in the direction you need to go to loosen it. Once it's loose it's easy to get out. No need to use an easy out, and I don't believe you could get a drill in there anyway. If you did, all you would need to do is drill the head off and then you should be able to get it out easy enough.

Maybe drop the trans and leave the converter bolted up? Drill it out from the converter side....

Should be able to slide the trans back off the converter.

Keep going with the dremel. This happened to me as well about a week ago. Bolts were the stupid allen head type which strip very easy. I actually stripped 2 out of the 3 bolts. Get a few more cut-off wheels or even a heavy duty grinding wheel as I did. There are no threads in the flexplate, so grind down the head till it screams for mercy and it will fall right out.

I know your frustration, believe me....but let me tell you, once you get her running it will all be worth it!

I owe you a beer man, it worked (finaly)... went through 3 big grinding wheels and the dremel was so hot I could barely hold it anymore... but it did come out!

I'll post up pics of the bolt alittle later.

Sorry for the blurry pics.
