Default M6 console with A4??

I've been thinking of this for a while but I'm not 100% sure if it will fit. I've seen several A4 guys use a boot from m6 cars to make it look better and also fix the rattling noise from the plastic slides next to the a4 shifter. heres a link to a guy that installed a boot on his a4 console and it looks pretty good. https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...hlight=boot+a4

I want to take it a step further and swap out the entire center console to a M6 console..shift **** and all( I hate the look of a A4 console/shifter). Will an m6 console work with an A4??? anyone done this???

The only thing I can think of that might be different is the mounting clips around the boot area. Maybe the M6 guys could chime in on this

You don't have to change out the whole console - just the top part. There have been guys that have done it.

i think the open section for the M6 is too far forward for the shifter in the A4. you may not be able to select the low gears.
