what would happen if i didnt swap computers, could this be fixed with LS1-edit?

Technically, yes. I don't know how easy it would be though. I went the opposite way (M6-A4), and for simplicity's sake, I just reflashed the computer with an A4's programming, then added the H/C programming in after that. I was kind of pressed for time. If you're not, it would be allot more interesting to try and adjust it with LS1edit.
