2000rpms at 60mph isn't bad at all. Looks like 4.10s it is for me! Any brand you all recommend to prevent gear whine??

Really the gear whine is mostly from the way its installed. I mean if its done right You should not hear it much. Especially with T-rex.. You cant hear anything. But make sure whoever does the gear install, knows what he is doing. Brand I would recommend .. Motive! Had it for almost 3 years... car took so much beating.. never had any problems with it.

I went from 2.73s to 3.73s in my ten bolt about 3 years ago and absolutely love them. I have richmond gears and have had absolutely no problems or noise from them at all. On the highway cruising at about 65mph I am at 2400 rpm.

I look at it this way, if you have a small cubed motor (346) get the 4.10s. If you have a 408 or something like that, or forced induction, or alot of nitrous, keep the 3.73's. I've got a 408 and I'm keeping my 3.73s because with that much torque it will not hook up on the street with 4.10s.

With a 408 your probally not hooking on the street with 3.73's either.

Its actually not bad w/ MT Drag radials, BMR torque arm, QA1s, etc etc.

It hooks up quite well

id go 4.10 but just go a bit lower of the converter str say 2.0 it will still be more than enought to kill your tires and you maintain good topend efficency

I have a 408 with 4.10's and spray 300 shot.. Its a A3 now but the 4l60e couldnt handle the power.. My 60 fts are from 1.38 to 1.48.. everyone tryed to tell me 3.73's but the 4.11's work for me..

I have GM 4.10's in my TA and they dont whine at all. I dunno if they are actually better than some of the aftermarket gears different places sell, but i havent had any problems with em. You can get some GM 4.10's out of S10's i believe.
