Default Problem with converter.

My converter never seems to want to lock. It was having a problem where it would unlock at random times will i waS cruising. I looked into it and though it might be because I was having misfires.

Changed spark plugs and wires.

Now the converter hardly ever locks up. in over a 1/2 hour of city driving today it locked up once for like 25seconds, then I had to slow for a light. My other car died and my Z is my DD now so I need it to lock to be able to afford the gas.

ANy ideas?

Stock TC? No codes? Mine locks at about 44 MPH part throttle after going through the gears.

Get all of your misfire thresholds set to 32727 and if that
fixes it, you know it was misfires. Then the question is,
real misfires or just crank ripple.
