Which stall converter???
The wonderful thing about America is that you can express your opinion and I can express mine................... and they don't have to be the same.
I will continue to tell anyone that asks about my terrible dealings with Fuddle, because of the way I was treated, and mostly just because I can..... peroid.

When you get lied to, and flat out taken advantage of let us know how you feel about it........... until then, keep working on that post count........ I'm sure all of those posts are meaningful.

quiktim: Waiting 8 weeks to get an aftermarket performance product is not the end of the world. It is something we would like to hear, but you need to tone it down a little.

You are still missing the entire point and only hearing what you want to hear........... the point is that I was blown off, lied to, then rushed a converter so they could avoid a refund by saying it was sent........... only after NONE of my calls were returned, my e-mails were not returned, and pm's were not returned.........Posting here for everyone to see was a good option to light a fire under their behinds since they chose not to communicate.
No matter what, people like you will always dissagree because you just don't get it.
I will continue to reply to anyone that asks how others think of Fuddle, because they handled my purchase so poorly. If you only want to hear people talking them up, don't ask for opinions......... because you just might get some honest ones.
Why are we arguing about someone elses business practices? You think they are great, I think they are a sorry excuse for a company and had a bad experience............... and we both want to let people know what we think.
You do your "thing" and I'll do mine.................. just don't go telling me that I cannot express my dissapointment in the way my personal experience was handled by them, or that I am out of line for doing so, just as I do not say people shouldn't praise them.
I only wish I would have heard a story like mine before I threw money at Fuddle....... then my entire situation could have been avoided by steering clear of them and taking my business elsewhere.

My standing recommendation is Yank or Vigilante. I have not and will not recommend Fuddle because of my experience with TCI conveters. I ordered my TCI some years ago when they were basically in the same position that Fuddle is right now. Cheaper than Yank or Vig, supposedly as good, etc. Where are they now? Why are we not discussing them as an option? Their repuation fell as a result of experiences, and I have not seen enough out of Fuddle to be sure they will not do the same thing. Your story obviously does not help, either. Let's not forget that before Fuddle OR TCI there was Midwest...we all know how they went.

You're correct there...... I guess that was more directed for all the others jumping in defending them telling me I'm wrong for expressing my personal opinion because it's negative......... hard to keep track of everyone.
qwiktim I'm sorry you had a bad experience with Fuddle. I hate to see a good, well run company get a bad rep from one or two fouled up orders. Granted, they were eventually fixed. I still understand why you are frustrated and appreciate members who have had bad experiences and share them with everyone on here so we don't run into the same thing you did. However, I do NOT believe that Fuddle is a bad company and I am going to share my experiences with them in their defense.
They reccomended a 3800 converter for an MS3 I had planned on running. I had to hurry up and make a decision so I could get it on the GP. I was going to miss the final order date by a few days so I gave them a call to let them know I wouldn't have the money for it until a few days after. They told me that I could still get it @ that price. They sent the converter to me very quickly. I changed my mind on what I wanted cam wise, called John, talked to him about running a TRex, and we decided on a 4400 stall. I sent it back in to him and he restalled it no problem, even after extending the GP to me in the first place. John returned all of my phone calls, all of my PMs, all of my e-mails, e-mailed AND pm'ed me tracking numbers and shipping information, included insurance on the shipped part, and supplied me with a badass converter that will hold its own against anything else being ran on any other car within driving distance of where I live.

What QuikTim doesn't tell you:
Tim ordered a Performance Series converter 8 weeks ago, which was built and ready to ship. He did not order an HP/Street converter at that time.
Later, he called and told us not to send it. He wanted to upgrade to the HP/Street. He was told there was, at the time, a considerable wait on the HP/Street. He replied, "That’s fine." He later inquired to the status and was informed of a further delay at the foundry, to which he replied, "That’s fine." The next thing we heard from Tim was him posting that Fuddle is evil, and we were ignoring him, despite the fact that we never received an email or phone message from him. He did not attempt to contact us until after he posted. We then responded to him. He did not send numerous e-mails or leave numerous messages that were unresponded to. When he finally did contact us, we responded to him.
By that time, Tim had contacted his credit card company and issued a chargeback, completely tying our hands. Tim’s converter was sent while the chargeback was still in effect. We should have held onto it until we had payment, but to avoid further delay, we shipped it without payment. Tim also neglects to tell you that his shipping costs were refunded, and that his converter sold very quickly with a full transfer of the warranty. So, really, he was not out anything; he has just chosen to blow up this entire situation. We tried to work with him within the means we had available in a very professional manner, but his response has been to lie, call us names and troll threads about us. We hate to have to keep going on about this and feeling as if we are hijacking threads, but to keep our good reputation, we must.

for God's sake, why won't you let tim post his experience? ever think that's why you don't hear bad things about certain companies and only hear praise? every time someone says something negative the fanboys flame them! tim gives his bad experience and you immediately jump his ****. GROW UP everyone. no company is perfect. fuddle will make mistakes, as will anyone else be it yank, tci, whatever, they've all screwed up before. how can ANYONE get an opinion of what companies to go through if you all flame the people that have bad experiences and only let them post good ones? you're all rude and immature for doing so. flame me if you want, i don't care. at least i'm mature enough to let someone post a bad experience without being a loyalist fanboy.
the fact is, there have been more than one or two bad orders i'm sure, just everyone is scared to post about them. that goes for any company.

This is going to take a while, but since John wants to ignore the information and dates already posted in my previous threads, I'll go through it one more time for his benefit and so everyone can see the "real" John.......
On April 18th I placed the order for one of the $450 converters, and on April 23th I sent another $155 to upgrade the clutch.............5 days after the initial order was placed.......
Here is my e-mail to you asking about upgrading, not telling you "not to send it"..... as well as your reply. Notice you said the converter was "started"....... not "built and ready to ship" as you just said.

Again, look at the 2-3 week time John quoted me in the e-mail he sent about the upgrade.

On May 16th I e-mailed to see why I had no converter yet, since the 2-3 week lead time I was quoted had passed........... here is their reply.

That's crazy, and shows Johns mentality. I never said they were evil, or anything of the sort. After almost a solid week of calling and hearing the phone ring and ring and ring with nobody answering it, and e-mailing 4 times with no replies, I posted up here to try and see WTF was up. Even when the answering machine finally started picking up, the message stated that you were having phone problems and didn't know it, so don't go saying I never called. You never did respond to any of my e-mails or calls over a 9 day period until I did the chargeback, that woke you up and you pm'd me to tell me your "no refunds" policy.
Lie #4
Bull............ If you would answer your phone or return messages people wouldn't think they are being scammed! I had no choice at that point but to start the process, after 7 weeks of waiting!!!!! I filed with Paypal, not my credit card company. You lied to me at that point saying you couldn't issue a refund to make it right, your only choice was to send a converter. You have had payment in full for over 5 weeks at that point, so you're lying again there. What you fail to say is that after your reply to me saying you couldn't issue a refund with a claim filed, I immediately cancelled the claim (the same day it was filed) in hopes to get my refund......... that's where you dissapeared again! Guess what, no refund.
Lie #5
You did refund my $50 shipping, only after 8 weeks of failing to meet quoted delivery dates, and me complaining about the ridiculous and pocket lining $50 shipping charge. I sold it at a loss, so I AM out money because of you.
Lie #6
"Blow up the situation"? Come on, after being ignored and lied to and feeling scammed, I did not blow up the situation............ you escalated it because you never delivered on time, or replied to concerns.
Lie #7
Tried to work with me? By not answering the phone, not returning my e-mails, pm's, or my call to your personal cell phone? Yeah, that's "working with me". Troll threads? I think you'd better look up the definition there, I am telling my personal experience with Fuddle to any thread that asks about Fuddle.......... and you'd better believe that will continue now.
Lie #8
The facts speak for themselves............. you are an outright liar, and a terrible businessman.
You are a lying, scamming, low-life in my book (there, I said it). Your continuous lies are bound to catch up to you one day..............and people are seeing this more clearly every day.
If you choose to continue to lie and tell mis-truths about our dealings, I'll haunt you for life on these boards. You lied and took advantage of the wrong person here.
I took my hit and lost my money and time thanks to your lies and bisiness tactics, and was prepared to just drop it.......... I guess only you can decide if you want to keep this up or try and hold onto whatever dignity you have and move on as well.
I don't want to see other hard working people get lied to and taken advantage of by anyone like you, period.

Tim,
You are welcome to your opinion. We hope the readership on LS1Tech can see through your inaccuracies, lies, exaggerations, made up information, and name calling. What you have posted is modified and inaccurate. You did not try to contact us between May 16th and the posting of your first thread. There are no phone messages and no e-mails from you during that time period. In addition, you have now started insulting our converters, which you have no experience with, since unfortunately for you, you are not running one. We actually wanted to leave this alone, but your continued posting has let us not do that.
