Im assuming you have fluid in there, correct?

Yea, if you are getting nothing out of your tranny line (car has to be running), then more then likely, you smashed the tabs on the tranny pump with the verter. It was not seated properly and when you bolted the tranny to the block you squished'em and no fluid is pumping.

Like I said before, thats exactly what happened when my buddy and I did his swap. Car would go into gear but nothing would happen. Come to find out, we squished the tabs. And yea, you have to pull the tranny out and have the pump replaced, if nothing else got damaged.
