Last converter question!
I'm looking at either the SY3500 or the YPT4000 with a 2.2str. I already have 3.73 gears in the car and I know that the SY will be tighter but how much looser will the YPT be? At the track how much would I be giving up with the SY over the YPT. Will I be able to hook up with Nittos On the street with the YPT? Also from a roll which one one would be better? Sorry so many quetions!!
Thanks Paul
Thanks Paul
personally i think those are 2 very different converters you are comparing.
have you looked at the yank 3500st?? with 3.73's those seem to run awesome times.
personally i have the vig 3600 with 3.23's and on nittos i hook like a beast(well i think so). See sig
i dont know how the 4400 would be on nittos, but the 3600 hooks well, granted i still have more left in her off the line...

The YTP 4000 will woop *** on the SY 3500 from a roll. The YTP will be noticably looser, say an average of 300 rpms at lighter throttle, 600 rpms when really starting to get on it.
The SY 3500 will be eaiser to hook up. The YPT 4000 can be hooked up with nittos, but just like the SY 3500, don't expect to floor it from a dead stop on the street and have it hook. It will take more practice.
don't listen to Harold He cuts unreal 60' with nittos that most people are not able to achieve (Self appointed to the NittoMaster Council ). Also 3.23 gears are a little easier to launch.
