Last time at the track, with BFG DRs, the best I could get was 13.0ish at mid to high 1.9s. The track just sucked. I may begoing back tommorrow, so do you have any suggestions?
IE - psi, launching, waterbox, RPMs, etc...
I should really be sing 12.6xx, but I'm not. And I should really be seeing 1.6s and I'm not. Others have major problems hooking with this track too, but it's close.
Thanks
Nick

When I was bolt-on, I had st3500/3.23s/nittos. I used 16 - 20 lbs depending on track prep. I heated the **** out of them, making sure I could see smoke in my rear view mirror.
My best 60' times came from punching it at 800 - 900 rpm. If I hooked, the run would be excellent. For brackets, I would stall to 2000 rpm and roll hard into the throttle. Greatly reduce the risk of spinning, but the 60' lost about .05.

First off...get rid of those BFGs and throw on some ET Streets with that converter. I've got a ST3500 and could never really launch good with BFGs.
But for now, with you runnin DR's, I'd drop the pressure to 15-18psi. Back up into the waterbox, spin foward to get the water off, then lay into and do a little smokey burnout.
Now...as far as launching...play with it a little. Launch at idle, bring the rpms up to 1500 the next time out, then bring the rpms up to 2500 the next time out, and so on. Learn what feels good and whats comfortable to you. Everybody and every car is different.

Did the waterbox thing. Smoked them for 10 seconds, tried different RPMs and launching techniques. I don't wanna screw my rear end up w/ ETs yet.
I'm just making sure I'm doing everything right.
