Default Dexron III in a chrysler?

I put some Dextron III fluid in a 97 chrysler concord that called for a different type of fluid? Is this going to harm the tranny?

If it called for type-F it could cause the tranny to slip some. DexronIII is a smoother mix. While Type-f Is a grittier blend. Alot of people put Type-F in a Type III tranny that is slipping to help make them last a little longer. I even did it for awhile. If it was only a little I dont think it would hurt it.

I'm sure someone that knows more than me will chime in to better explain it.

I work at a dodge dealer its atf-3 which you can get at the parts store or you can upgrade to atf-4 which you can only purchase at the dealer.

lubeguard makes a fluid that allows you to use dex 3 in place of atf+3 or atf+4.
sorry about the non-sponser link but i don't know of any sponsors that carry this product. but this link is here for the sake of example.
