How to remove trans filter seal ?
How do I remove the filter sseal ?
Theres no room at the front to crush it, it sits flush.
I messed up the rubber by screwing in a bolt and trying to pry, but still can't get it out. Whish I never tired . . .
Help !

It's a pain, you just have to keep working on it. I got my last one out by hammering a very pointed punch between the filter seal and the valve body. Be careful though to not scar the valve body. I don't know what the "proper" way of doing it is or if there is one.........

I used a pick but it tore a bit of the front of the seal. I pryed it back with a screwdriver and was able to crunch it inwards and remove it.
I did scratch the valve a bit but only at the opening (begining part of seal) so it wouldn't expect any trouble. Is there a Gm tool for this ?
Glad I replaced it at least this once, cause the other seal didn't feel as tight as this one. @ 6K miles

The usual tool is a light slide hammer with an L shaped hook on the end;
I use a long thin screwdriver (blunt) and a hammer to push in one side of the seal (be careful to not damage the bore, tap lightly and consistently several times on one place on the seal's diameter), causing the other side to rotate out (i.e. you make it go cockeyed), then with large needle nose pliers firmly grab the side that's out and pull out and away.
