Default No VSS, problem??

I read somewhere that if you dont hook up the VSS the car might die out and cause all sorts of problems, is that true or will the speedo just not work?

If your computer is not seeing the vss signal you will have trans issues. It needs to be fixed asap or you will be looking for a new trans.
