A well known drag racing calculation figures .1 second for every 100lbs. of weight added to the car. Since the 4L80E added only 78lbs. to my car, why would it suck up .3 seconds?
Also, if your 4L60E breaks in a race once you have a real 700rwhp, then the 80E starts looking pretty attractive.
Stick with what you know, not what you 'heard' somewhere, or what is 'supposedly' true.

Actually the 4L80E has two planetaries in the rear and one up front.
