Default Quick A4 question

Hey guys , As some of you may know , I have done a M6 to A4 swap in my 99 Z , Well I sent my computer to get programed and in the meantime I borrowed a friends computer out of his 02 Z , Heres the problem , If I put the car in "D" , It only takes off in second , If I put the car in "OD" , it seems to shift fine through all gears , I can manualy shift 1st to 2nd , but cant go to "drive" unless I pop it all the way to "OD" Also , my sy3500 converter is not locking up ??? I have checked my wiring a couple of times and It seems ok , could it be in his computer ? Or in the tranny ? thanks !!!

Billy...I'll go out on a limb here since no one else has and suggest it is the pcm. The 00 and later a4's have the option of second gear start up. Sounds like that what yours is doing. The pcm ares defilantly different between 99 and 02 and I would suggest getting the correct pcm before you try anything else.
