I do not but I have drag radials. On the stock tires, I surely would. I do go sideways a bit when I do a kickdown to 1st though even with these tires.

No chirping during shifts, that is more up to whether you have a shift kit and how it is set up.

I chirp second pretty hard even with Nittos ... I've never broken loose at 40 even with regular street tires.

depends on the temperature out, bfg's hook really well for me, but sometimes it'll lay about a 20 ft strip of rubber if i jump on it at 40, usually a little sideways into second

0-40mph is a smokeshow in my car (street tires). Car used to get sideways on the 1-->2 shift, but the stall really softened the shifts and it doesn't even chirp now. Need a shift kit to get the shift feel back.

Mine will light up the street tires anytime I punch it in first or upon a kickdown from second, but then again, I've got a shift kit.

Here's a description of how the car goes with my foot into it:
Rounded the corner to get on the freeway, tires lit up, traction control kicked in. Bogged down, let off the gas and once it stopped killing the throttle I mashed it again. Lit up the tires a second time, and traction control kicked in again. Waited for TCS to stop f'n with me, and mashed it again. Shifted to second, and we started lighting up the tires all over again.

If I jump on it at 40 in 2nd on some concrete it gets a lil squirrely on the nittos but it doesn't 'chirp' loudly, the shiftkit doesnt hit that hard in my car (stock tranny with a cooler and a shiftkit).

i guess my car is set up different from you guys. I can jump on it at 30...it'll spin, spin, HOOK. Then my front end jumps quite a bit and it just goes straight.

Yeah same here. I don't see how these guys are spinning at 40, that would be a downshift to 2nd gear in a relatively low RPM range...2nd gear really isn't that great to kickdown to until around 60. Think about when you go from a stop at full throttle. You would normally still be in 1st by 40.

Most guys with bigger cams/higher shift points have tuned their car to shift to 1st at that speed. With 2.73 gears it's no big thing with stock shift points even....With 3.23 gears you need a shiftpoint of at least 6400rpm to pull it off. I had mine tuned like this for awhile, but backed it down to 37 mph. The stall keeps me in the powerband even at the bottom of 2nd.
