Need some help choosing a converter for the th400
setup I have started. The car will weigh about
3400 lbs, have stage 2 heads from EMT, a TR224
112lsa cam, a th400 with a transbrake and the 2.75
first gear ratio, I have 4.10's with 28x10 hoosiers on the car now. I am currently running
an ST4000/4l60e(broke)setup and am very pleased with this converter from Yank. 1.54-1.55 60fts
have been the norm with this converter and bolt
ons on my 99 WS6. My question is this. What would
be a good converter for N/A and a 150 shot of TNT.
Was thinking about the JW 10" 4000 or so stall. Anyone have experience w/ JW or Yanks converters
in a TH400 with a similar setup?
Thanks,
Travis

I'm running a JW "J" stator 4500 stall in my TH400. I think it would be way too loose on a nitrous car it's pretty loose behind my stock motor. I'm sure they can build you one for nitrous though. I'm very pleased with the converter and the price was good too $460.

I am currently running the JW 10" converter w/my motor setup right now...
But, I am selling that converter for a smaller P.I. 3600 converter for my TNT 150 setup... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
That will flash to like 4800 on spray... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

You could get a ST 3800 or PYE 3600 for that combo. PYE 3600 would give you room to increase the shot <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
