Default Vig 3600 question

ok... i have a ST3500 in my car now... but my trans went out again so it has to come out...

This converter was in my first trans which overheated (blew trans cooler) and now is in the my new (which is busted now... not cause o the converter)

So I'm thinking of getting a Vig 3600 or Vig 3800 converter... those that have this, how do you like it?

Also is it a good nitrous verter? (small shot, max 100)

DUUUDE, should have went with the FLP trans, and you`re finally stepping up to real converter.. SWEET! Someday all will take my advice (FLP/Vig.) <img border="0" alt="[devil]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_devil.gif" />

I`d say go with a Vig. 3400 oh wait that`s right you had the loose ST 3500 so a Vig. 3600 should only be a small step up in looseness.. I say go for it. <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" /> <img border="0" alt="[Fluffy]" title="" src="graemlins/fluffy.gif" />

Since you pulled the converter from a tranny that went bad, I would send it back to Yank and have them cut it open, inspect for contamination, and restall it to ST 4000. Probably cost about $200 and will be as good as new.

Thanks for the input...

Yank will probably take a while to have the TC inspected and restalled so I may do that later (car goes in next friday and is being repaired next saturday)... I think I'll get the Vig 3600. Then send the yank out to be inspected and sell it.

i love mine to death <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

but personally i dont think there will be a whole lotta difference in the 2 converters. The st3500 would have more top end, but the vig3600 will be better down low. A couple friends have the st3500 with a 3.73 gear and et streets and they run low 12's and 11.9's same as me on nittos and 3.23's

either one will be a awesome converter, but i wouldnt look to drop much off your ET. You will probably have higher MPH on the st3500, but et better on the vig! best of luck!
