Default 94 and 95 4l60E

What is the difference in the 1994 4l60E vs the 1995 4l60E transmission. I have seen that they have different part numbers. Can a 1995 tranny go into a 1994 without modifications? Thanks.

Ok some 95 4l60e transmissions are a direct swap , in fact most are into a 94 , However a few late 95 cars got pwm in which case it can still be swaped with a minor valvebody modification , To determine if this in nesesary , count the solinoids , On the end closest to the bellhousing if you see only one solinoid in the valve body and one (the lockup solinod in the pump then its completly compatable with the 94 , However if you see two solinoids and the lockup with one solinoid directly over the lockup solinoid , It is not a direct swap but can easily be adapted , If this is the case holler back at me and ill send instructions on what to do ,
Hope this helps
