i have a 4l60e that only had 1st gear and reverse. if it shifted into 2nd then it made crunching sounds and would lock up completely. now i tore it apart today and found the lo and reverse roller in the back of the tranny was shattered in a few places. now the surrounding support asm was ok looking and didnt see anything else to be damaged. can anybody tell me if this sounds like the only thing that could be possibly wrong with it??? im only worried because i am not very experienced in trannys besides rebuilds and worried this isnt the only thing that was causing the problem.

oh yeah the car had nothing with the gear selector in d or 3rd..jus 1st and 2nd but with the problem shifting into 2nd ...this is the other worry i had

How is the rear planet where the broken race use to spline onto.
