Default 94/95 4L60E Parts Swap

Ok, I was told that the PCM's and transmissions from 94 and 95 were not interchangeable. For example you can't use a 94 trans with a 95 PCM and also the other way around because the "method of communication" between the two is different and not compatible. I was told that the PCM would get damaged. Is that true? If it were true, would it be possible to take all of the internal electronic components from a 94 (the pressure switch, solenoids, TCC valve and the sensors and swap them into a 95 Trans. I know that the internal harness is the same for both because they fit 93 and up. The reason that I am asking this is because I have a 94 engine that has been turned into a 383, the 94 PCM and 94 4L60E that I want to put into a 95 Z28. The 94 trans has had a few problems in the past and the trans in the 95 has never had any problems. I would like to use that trans if possible. If they are compatible then there is no problem. If they are not then that is why I am asking if the electrical components can be switched. Sorry for the long post. I just wanted to give as much detail as possible.
Thanks
Pete

What you heard about the 94 and 95 is correct. It would be best to have the 95 computer tuned and swap your motor over.
