Other than the driveshaft and crossmember, I have EVERYTHING you need to do the conversion. All brand new. TH400 with reverse manual valve body, trans brake, cheetah turbo action shifter, reluctor wheel, speed sensor (to make the speedo work), new console, flywheel, and whatever else I am forgetting. Email me if you are interested.

Here's a list of everything I got and prices for the parts when I swapped from a T56 to a TH400

1. TH400 tranny with 2.75 first gear, reverse manual valve body, transbrake $1480 from a local shop

2. BMR Crossmember $50 dollars. (My car was the prototype that brett made the crossmember with so I got it for cheap )

3. JW 4500 stall converter $460

4. B&M Hammer shifter $200

5. TCI Transmission cooler 15 1/2" X 10" X 3/4" $65 from jegs

6. Driveshaft I have right now is off a friends car he had a TH400 and a ford 9" and had the driveshaft made at a local shop and I bought the 9" and the driveshaft from him. I'm buying a new one from Dennys very soon as this one I have no is out of balance and has a bad vibration. Dennys nitrous driveshafts are around $350

My tranny bolts directly to the block and uses all the bolts on the TH400 but one. With the JW converter I got I did need to have a crank pilot extension made to keep proper converter -> flexplate spacing. If you have headers or plan to put them on in the future you will need to cut the "ears" off the sides of the TH400 casing to get it to fit up in there. If you're swapping from an A4 to a TH400 you will need two other things. I would get a center console out of a 6-speed car because I was able to get the b&m shifter to fit in there without cutting it at all. You need to cut the hell out of the A4 console to get a shifter to fit. The other thing is you will need computer programming to delete the A4 tranny controls in the computer. That's al I can thing of that I bought for right now if I remember anything else I'll post

The only problem I have is that I have a GW Trac Link. NO crossmember out there will fit. I think I will just fab one up.

you CAN use the stock shifter but in my opinion it's a pain in the ***. Two reasons, One is that you have to fab a bracket to get it to even work so it mounts to the tranny. Second is that in order to shift from 1st gear (with reverse valve body) to second gear you have to push in the button on top (or the side for a T/A) of the shifter which leads to many missed shifts where you go from 1st all the way to third because there is no stop at all between the gears once you're out of first. That's why I went with a ratchet shifter. I would have gone with a ratchet shifter even if I had an A4 car to begin with. But to each his own and if you're comfortable with using the stock shifter it will work.

My wife drives it every now and then when I start doin **** to her car, so I don't need her freakin out in traffic tryin to shift. LOL
Now, I do know that the 1st gear position is gone on the shifter.
