4400 stall installed
So it kicks *** from a roll?? I have a lil 3200 stall in my Cam/bolt on TA and its barely noticable. I got walked pretty good by someone with similar mods but they had a 3600 stall. This was from like a 45 roll. I was in 2nd gear. How does a stall help from a roll?
Well, a lockup and nonlockup are totally different converters. The non's are always "stalling" to speak. I have a 4400 nonlockup aswell. No matter what gear your in at any speed, when I stomp it I'm seeing 4500ish RPM right away(no downshifting either) and thats puts me further into my powerband. Just cruising I can go off idle and run through the gears like normal. I love it! The only set back I have is a little loss of gas milage. Like I care its a 3 speed any how with a 408.. As far as RPM's. 3.73's 26.5 tire- 62-63 @3K
yeah i the lockup makes adifferences. it feels *** if im holding it in gear and nailing. it really rips harder compared to the 3200. racing an auto from a roll is alittle silly because my friends stock 02 ss hung with me before from a roll. now it will be different but your strong point is always going to be off the line unless your pushing some serious horsepower
My 4400 stall is the greatest mod I have ever done to any vehicle. ******* slingshot. I am at 80mph in less than 5 seconds in a full bolt on, 2.73 geared car on a 200lb diet.
