Default 4400 stall installed

Just got my vig. 3200 back, restalled to 4400, 2.53 str. I had a nasty vibration before but is gone now. the converter must have been junk before but somehow restalling got fixed it. My impressions of it....

I LOVE IT!! Some people said it was going to be too much but it feels like the 3200 from a stop except it kicks you right in *** when you nail it. It doesnt drop below 5000 rpms between shifts and the car feels so much faster espcially from a roll.

I recommend this stall speed to anyone. anything lower seems like a waste. drivability is awsome, and this is coming from someone running an a3 non-lockup converter.

Awesome, I'm glad you like it, I am soon to be switching to a 4000+ as well from a 3500.

from a dead stop, how high does your converter rev before you start going? and how high does it rev before it shifts?

I have a yank pt 4200 in my a4, and with 4.10's, it's at about 2700 rpms at 70. Not really bad at all, mine is a lock up (as are most).

Ok, well, in my boyfriend's a3 with 4.10's and a non lock up 4600 stall, it's about 3k at 60.

My 3000 is on its way out, hate the vibration but its for an a4. Going to tear it down and stuff a 4L60e in, provisional on fitting of course.

Hmm, I'm getting a SS4000, I hope it's not too low. But I'm camming eventually too, so I think overall I'll be happy. If you don't mind asking how much was the restall?

It would have to account for the converter too if it isn't a lock up.

His restall was free. I am pretty sure precision industries will restall a converter up to the first year of ownership for free. All you have to do is pay for shipping back and forth.

it will shift at 2500-3000 and to take off normally its about 2200-2600.... not bad at all. but you are moving before that. got to talk to a local member and get him to make a video of the car.

the restall was free.
