Default will it hold?

I have a 2000 firebird with the v6. I'mbuying and building a ls1 to put in it. i know the same tranny will bolt right up with it. but how much power can that stock tranny take?

are you sure it will bolt right up? I know it cant handle an ls1. Not for long at least

why do you say that?
don't just say whatever you think, back it up with facts!
I happen to know that it bolts right up and it can handle a stock ls1 engines power but i need to know how much more can it take?

It is hit and miss with the 4L60e. Some have better results than others. I know you should put the Trans Go shift kit in it. I think the V6 version is setup for softer shifts.

I think that the accumulator springs will be different. Also the second servo will be different and the seperator plate will have different feed hole sizes. The inturnals will be the same but it is calibrated a little differently by the things listed above.
