looking to buy a good used conv 3800-4000 range and have only gotten 2 reply's on the parts wanted forum.1 is a 4000 fuddle new with a 2.6 str and the other is a tci ssf 4000 dont know the str,it has 800 miles on it.They are both about the same money so what would you buy? After hearing about the fuddle stuff i am kind of hesitant,and i know i wont get any help from tci because i will have bought it used,what to do

 

i would stay away from fuddle mine only lasted 2k miles or so....im no going with a vig...ive heard tci have some problems too...if it was me and i was gonna buy something used i would go with vig or yank...but buying something like that used is always a gamble...good luck

I am not sure if Fuddle is still in business.

 

I would stay away from anything used unless you can get it cheap enough to send it in to get refreshed. If someones trans went out and the clutch material or anything else got into the converter, once you put that on your car you may get some of that crap through yours and then you may have issues or a failure.

It's up to you although...

 

no i dont think they are...my and i think everyone else that has a fuddle seems like they have some issue with them and cant get a hold of them

 

I suggest YANK I do not know why majority of the people here do not use them. I have had mine im my car for at least 3 years with no problem, and also it is rare for someone to have a legitament problem with YANK. my.02

 

i have a fuddle and its great...think its costing me a few mph but it made up alot in e.t.
