Transmission clicking problem New A4

Alright after the torque converter install on my new A4 there is a progressive clicking sound right under my center console. Theres nothing in the way of the driveshaft and I have no clue what it might be. I ordered a new aluminum driveshaft from summit yesterday to eliminate that problem with the u-joints and rusted out slip yoke.
But i have been told it might be something in the transmission... Its only got 2k on it.. And now i am going to be running into the problem with GM warranty with the new stall.

Any ideas what the sound might be? its in the output shaft area..

My girlfriends car has that same noise.....I took it to a local Tranny shop and he said it might be a chipped tooth in the sun shell. IIRC.

Does it make this noise in 1st gear or is more noticeable in higher gears?

What would that indicate? I also have what seems like driveshaft vibrations at 4000rpm, which is most noticable in 3rd & 4th gears

Alright well I pulled out the old driveshaft and purchased a new one from Summit. Really really nice driveshaft!! No weights all one piece, and was super tight going into the transmission. Started it up and drove it around and absolutely no problems. No more clicking noise, no more clicking noises when placed in reverse, just great driving. Still have vibrations on highway but going to chaulk that one up to the retards that balanced my rims/tires.

My gf's car it makes the noise in the lower gears...makes the noise in neutral, with car off....

just pulled the DS...how much end play should there be in teh Tailshaft? I can push it up about an eighth of an inch and I can pull sown on it about a 1/4 inch.
