a lot of gear to reduce the work load (4.33 up) will help

Nhra stock class run LS-1 powered cars have 4.56 to 4.88 and a stall in the 5500 range with the help of a close ratio non lock-up transmission to keep the RPMs up after the shift and Efficiency in the 89 to 94% range at the end of run
What is so different between a TH350 and 4l60e then? I guess I don't understand. Is the TH350 that much more efficient or is it in the different converters? Several guys with the same mods done to their cars as mine (only difference is the tranny/converter) make more power and run faster than me.

Me : 4l60e, Yank PT-4800 9.5", and 4.10 gear (dyno 380 unlocked, 425 locked)

Other's : Th350, ATI 5500 non-lockup 8", 4.10-4.30 gear (dyno 410-420 unlocked)

They also run 2-3 tenths faster than me.

Do these come with billet covers? How many blades on the stator?

Dom by the looks of them I would say they do not have a billet front cover, but looks can be deceiving
