My trans is shifting a little soft and gets a small flare going 3-4 only some times, when checking the fluid you can see gray on the paper towel from the clutches.Its been this way for over a year and i drive it like i stole it. Is there a good additive or and an easy way to get firmer shifts.

Well you can try changing the fluild and filter along with the pcs (preasure control solinoid)But I fear you will soon be in the market for a rebuild or a unit.
