Please help --->>> why does my a4 keep blowing up
Stock a4 blew thw Servo cover off twice over 20,000 mile period but never did any internal damage.Stocker had a Transgo kit installed and my tranny builder blamed it on that! So I pay him to build me a heavy duty 9 clutch tranny!This tranny I find now to be a lt1 tranny with my stock pump,imput shaft, and tailshaft and bellhousing( <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="gr_images/icons/mad.gif" /> ) Since installing this New built tranny the 3-4 drum ends have blown out 3 times in less than 200 miles .Builder said it may have a short in the pcm harness so I replaced it 400.00 more dollars,had the pcm reflashed,tranny does the same thing! now the builder says the EGR being removed from the car is making the pressure go up! BS I know better than that. He also said I ran the pressure up(I did not) In other words I havent a clue whats wrong with it nor does the builder.If anyone has a solution PLEASE PLEASE help. Im so disgusted with my car and tranny builder I dont know what to do!

Maybe there's a problem with the pressure regulator valve installed in the pump, seeing how
based on your description its been used the WHOLE TIME. Putting in the Transgo kit does require going into the PR valve circuit in the pump, perhaps the parts have not been reinstalled correctly....
Need to check it with a pressure gage. Surely Mr. Brainiac tranny builder has done that by now.
(Edit) Just now saw you are ALSO an M6-A4 conversion. I'm VERY suspicious that something is not quite right between your PCM-> Wire harness -> tranny electronic pressure regulation.
Simple solution: go to the Trangso vac mod conversion and take the computer out of the loop.
You should do this even if you determine your computer IS working correctly.

Thanks for the reply.When the conversion was done the wiring harness was replaced with a a4 harness and the pcm was reflashed with the a4 programming.I have a call into Chuck @ flp about the vac mod.As of today the builder(so called) is out of the picture and I will be fully reembursed Now I need to find a tranny to start over with <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
I did mention the fact that since he used my original pump that it could be the spring in the pump from the transgo kit. His answer was that it was replaced!I have my doubts!We did install a pressure gauge and drove it around but it seems to work fine while hooked up. <img border="0" alt="[kaboom]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_bomb.gif" />
