New FLT tranny installed Today I picked up my car with the new tranny (FLT Level V) and converter (vig 2600 multi disc). I'm very happy the way it's working. Very nice tranny shifting great and fast. Driving the car is more fun now.

That would be a decent converter for a car with high boost (where it will flash to 3500-4000 anyway) but for a mild NA car that is just not a big enough difference from stock to be worth it, IMO. My guess is you are looking for more in about a month

The fact that one will get used to it and then wants more.....,well you're indeed right.
However, keep in mind that vigilante converters are for some reasons underrated so a 2600 vig stall is more like a 3000 stall converter.
I still have a grinding and chattering noise beetween 1100-1300 rpm (@50 MPH in 4th gear and @35 MPH in third gear) that I have to take care of once my HPtuners has arrived. But everything else is working great so far.

I'm not sure if that is tuning related, if that FLT transmission has the modified HD-2 kit it should have PWM eliminated already which is what normally causes (from what I have read) chattering and grinding due to trying to partially apply an aftermarket TC clutch that is not partially-appliable (like some of the tough aftermarket manual transmission clutches that cannot be slipped). This often leads to premature failure of the TC clutch where it will not lock up anymore. I hope I just made sense, because it's about my bed time .
