Default Is a Hughes 3500 Stall any good?

I have a buddy who can practically give me one. I'm talking real cheap but I don't ever hear good things of Hughes except for all out drag racing.
My car is a daily driver so I can't have anything too radical.
How would a Hughes stack up against a Vigilante or Yank?
Thanks,
STEVE

For a converter "investment" I would stick with something that is proven... like a Yank or a Vig.

Even if you do the work youself... changing converters more than once isn't cheap.
