Show me a naturally aspirated vig (any size vig) that has 60'ed or MPH'rd as well as my Yank equipped car, and you might change my mind. Until then? Fagetaboutit!
Yank Rules.
You get what you pay for... there is no free lunch.
BTW, I too would recommend the Yank ST3500 for your needs.
Besides...Vigi's are pink...I can't have nothing pink on muh car!

Most of the quick/fast cars run a Yank.
But lets face it u cant compare the converters that way.Truthfully u would have to run the SAME car on the SAME day at the SAME track in the SAME conditions.
I will agree that the Yank will get u more MPH.
No doubt about,Its more efficient up top.
I will say this....
A Vig can 60ft as good or better than a Yank in the same weight car with the same HP.But it will give up something at the end.I have seen the results on the dyno and Mikes does not lie about this stuff.
A #7 pumped Vig will be in the 92% range as opposed to a TP series at 94%.This was verified on the dyno but like a smuck I sold my trusty TP4400.I shoudve never done that.
U say,Well thats not much?
How about if your making 430RWHP.....
2% is almost 8.5RWHP more and that adds up real quick when the verter is unlocked.Your looking at a 10HP advantage with the Yank..
I tried the UT4600 and it didnt work for my setup.
I shouldve listened to PatrickG.
But the TP series Yank is building is the BEST converter out there to date.BAR NONE!!!!
I'm running a modded 4300 Vig now and I will continue to test it until Oct. just to give it a fair comparision and decent air to run in too.
Then I'm gonna switch the back to a TP4500.I think I'm gonna be pleasantly suprised at the end of Oct.
Will see?

Thats it, and I meant it. They can run any day they want, same as me. When a similar car with a different verter' starts putting out times/mph better then mine. Then I will consider changing. Until then? fagetaboutit!
No other N/A heads/cam verterd LS1 is putting out better numbers. When they do... then I will give that verter props. Until then I will stand on the top of the nearest mountain and shout; "Yank RULES".
Who luv's ya baby? Yank does...thats who.

Your old combo is a good comparo and it I think it went a very impressive 1.43?
But your car is also LIGHT,VERY LIGHT.
I on the other hand have run a 1.47 using a 3800 Vig in a 3590lb car.Just alittle heavier and alittle less stall than your TP4600.
See what I'm getting at John?
I can sway the cards too.
I surely agree with u about the Yank being better but using your car as an example isnt truely fair.Lets looks at the other 5 or 6 low 11 Sec cars to date.My 3800 Vig has 60ft as good or better than all of ones using a Yank.
I do agree the Vig falls behind in the mid track and to the end for sure..No doubt about it the Yank is better and I totally agree with u on that point.
So rustle up some steaks and invite me down to TX for some Cowboy hospitality...

I had a ST3500 and granted I didn't race enough to learn how to launch right on it... I couldn't cut better than a 1.8 on it... and I lost 4mph I have a vig3600 now but haven't raced it yet

If you cut only a 1.8 then your prolly using regular radials or at best Drag Radials. Throw some slicks on there with a crap prepped track and you can click off 1.7's all day long. I have that same converter, and the thrust that it comes up with off the line with the slicks on at the track is priceless
Ditto. YANK IT!!!

Nuff said!
