There is a field in autotap for last shift time or something like that. What should this be normaly. I was driving around and mine was 30 seconds I think when I have my shifting problem occur.

30 seconds!
How many mph did the car drop while waiting for the shift to occur? Your tranny is toast and car should feel undrivable if it takes 30 seconds to shift. I think you are not interpetiting ATAP correctly.

Lets look at it this way: My car is in 3rd gear by about the 1/8 mile mark, so at WOT I have 2 shifts in less than 8 seconds. Obviously most of the 7.X seconds used getting to the 1/8 is spent in gear applying full power to the rear wheels and not shifting.

It doesn't feel like it's taking 30 seconds. It feels like it takes 1 second and another 5 seconds until it starts to rise in rpm. Autotap was reporting 30 seconds.

There is going to be a lag in the rise in rpms on an upshift with a converter. The converter allows for higher engine rpms (input shaft) then the tranny (output shaft) is actually turning. Depending upon the gear and the converter stall the rpms will hold flat for a bit while the output shaft starts to catch up with the input shaft. ATAP will show this in a few frames.

5 seconds is a long time at WOT, even my 4200 stall in 3rd doesn't stay flat that for 5 seconds. Assuming your stock converter car did that, you would feel the car just die upon the upshift and your track MPH would be very low.

I still have the stock convertor. The car absolutely dies after the shift. Feels like its totally bogging down.

Does your car hesitate between the 2-3 shift?
