Default converter??

i have a 2000 T/A and i am looking to get rid of the "dead spots" in my transmission. (excuse my terminology, i'm not an expert yet) when i peg it in the 30-55 m.p.h. range i don't reach the powerband nearly as quickly as i would like. the car just doesn't feel like it kicks in hard enough. but when i'm at 10-25 it feels great. would a converter help this? if so, where in the rpm range would i want the stall?

Absolutely it would help. Probably a 3400-3600 would be good.

The converter will fix 100% of that problem, will be one of the best mods you will do.
