Default Overdrive question

I just swapped a 95 lt1 with auto trans in my 95 v6 camaro. I have been driveing it for a few days now, today is the first time I drove it on the highway and used the cruise control. The question I have is when Im driveing 60mph it is at 2300rpm it sounds like it wants to kick lower but it doesnt. My v6 would kick down to 1800rpms at 60mph. Also when I was driveing 60mph when I take my foot off the gas it doesnt drop the gears (it revs at 1600rpms) or something it sounds like the exhaust is sucking air in. The v6 would coast alot better. both cars have under 60k miles on them. Fluid was just changed during swap. Im thinking that the person that had the lt1 before me might have installed a shift kit or something. Around town it shifts good coasts like it should but not over 35mph. If this sounds normal or what can someone tell me what could be going on with this,

thanks

I am by no means an expert on this subject but it kinda sounds like what my tranny did when I got it race built and had a shift kit put in it. So in my opinion I would say that there is a possibility that a shift kit was installed in it. But like I said, I am by no means what so ever, an expert on this topic

well do you have any codes or have you scanned for them . If you swapped everything wiring harness and all that would unlikley be the problem , I WOULD GET IT SCANNED AND SEE WHAT COMES UP

Well you could goto a trans shop , or some autozones and advance will do a simple scan but if you use them have them give you the actual code numbers ,not just tell you what they mean
