Default should i change tranny fluid?

im ptuing a B&M tranny cooler on and will be getting a TC sometime soon, do you think i should go ahead and change my fluid or not worry about it. My car has 19,xxx miles on it so it should be pretty good

i'd just change it for the hell of it. unless its black, then dont even bother...

do i need a name brand fluid? i knwo redline is suppose to be good but its expensive..i heard it doesnt matter too much as long asa tis not synthetic and its dextron III

I'd get a good name brand (I used Valvoline MaxLife last time).
Be sure and change the filter also.

Change it. It can't hurt anything, and will improve it. Like everyone said, change the filter, and think about a deep pan with drain plug while you are at it.
