so i blew the 4l60e trans in my 95 t/a and im looking to swap out the trans now with maybe a 700r4. what will i need to do to get this to work? what about a 4l60e from an ls1?

 

You would be best to just replace the tranny you have theres no advantage to the later ls1 the case is different but the internals are basically the same , As for the 700r4 same thing the internals and case are similar but going back to TV control is going backwards ,
There is no gain to either swap ,
I would consider buying a built one
