Default Using a laser thermometer....

What would be the most accurate place to get a reading of how how the trans/fluid is without a guage in the car? I just did some hard street driving and parked it in the garage for 5 minutes assuming the fluid would be pretty hot without getting some good air to get to the cooler and it was sitting at about 185 in my garage after some beating. All i checked though was the cooler. Its pretty neat though to turn the car off and watch the temp drop on the cooler.

the laser thermo is not real acurate at least mines not ussually the temp runs about 10 degrees warmer , Howevr measuring the temp at the cooler on the inlet side with the car running would be a pretty acurate measurement of fluild temp
