Default converter choice for a3

I sold my 4l65e to a friend who is doing a ls1 swap into a 55 hardtop chevy, so i'm going to swap over to an a3 as i've been wanting to for a while. i have a 233/239 .595/.603 cam, prc ls6 stg1 heads w/comp. valve job, ls6 intake (waiting on $ to swap to FAST), long tubes, true duals... my dyno thread is in my sig. I need to make a choice on which converter to go with. the car will only see about 100 shot (stock bottom end) and only gets street driven about 100 miles a month. I want a converter that will maximize my E.T.s. it seems vigilante, yank, and tci all make ls1/th350 converters. any suggestions?

btw 3.73 gear

Call the converter companies. They will need very detailed specs on your car and then can recommend a good converter for you.

thanks, will do. I guess not many people have negative experiences with any converter. I'm just looking for horror stories.

I have a continental now 4200 stall for a TH350. It is for sale if interested. I will be going ATI 8" soon.

THis is an area where you get what you pay for. Custom is best.

I just got off the phone with EDGE racing converters. i'm at work and had to get off the phone early, but he spec'd me out a 4000 stall, 2.4-2.7str, ls1/th350 converter. they have a guarantee that if their converter doesn't go faster and make more power than a competitor's converter, you can take it out and ship it back for a full refund. that's pretty ballzy! a local guy changed his yank to a edge and got his 60's down from 1.5-1.3. i think i'll give it a try.
