Okay I hadn't driven my car in about 3 months because of a problem with my license - but it was driven about once every week.

FYI: Tranny has 93k on it

The other day i get in my car to drive it and i notice my tranny is slipping realll bad. When I would come to a stop soemtimes it would make a grinding noise and the car would vibrate a bit. Before my car was put to sleep for a while the only problem with the tranny was when I would accelerate with the weight off the tranny and it would just "clunk" once and then be fine, no slipping.

Do I need a new tranny ? rebuild? or is this another problem (tq converter,something replacable in tranny, etc) i have no idea.

I would check the fluld levels first in case it leaked and is low , but the grinding sound isnt good , I would plan on a trans ,

 

yea it would slip REAL BAD in second, it hurt me when i heard what it sounded like at WOT. around 2-3k rpms was worst, about 1/4 throttle ...
