Whos 4l60?? My tranny is dead i have been looking alot at diffrent people and was wondering who you guys picked and why. And have you had good experiance with the sale and customer service after. I have a 383 with a 3500 stall and im tired of getting them done localy and just blowing up.
Give Vince a shout at FLT....I've talked to him a couple times and he's had some great ideas for me to try with my tranny before forking out for a new one. That's customer service....not trying to sell a product, just concerned about getting me fixed up. Although it's going to come down to a new tranny

I'm probably making 600+hp at the crank (497rwhp 4x4) and it's been doing well for a while now.
Customer service is top notch.

i'd go performabuilt or FLT. we know they're both good products and they're both on the forums all the time with an excellent reputation for customer support and service.
out of the two, i'd probably go with the one maybe closer to your home.
